The Eastern Pennsylvania Alliance for Clean Transportation is a 501(c)(3) member-ship-based non-profit corporation that is a part of the national Clean Cities program designated by the U.S. Department of Energy. We serve 34 counties in central and eastern Pennsylvania.

Here's a list of current incentives and programs available in 2024 for zero or low emission vehicles for commercial fleet operators in Pennsylvania, through the Eastern Pennsylvania Alliance for Clean Transportation (EP-ACT) and related state initiatives:

1. Alternative Fueling Stations: EP-ACT supports a network of fueling stations for various alternative fuels, including biodiesel, ethanol (E85), electric charging outlets, natural gas, and propane across Eastern Pennsylvania.
2. AFIG Program: The Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant (AFIG) helps fund the incremental cost of alternative fuel fleet vehicle purchases or the associated refueling equipment, aiding fleets in transitioning to cleaner vehicles.
3. Driving PA Forward: Offers rebates for level 2 EV charging equipment and competitive grants for DC fast charging stations, among other incentives aimed at reducing emissions from older diesel vehicles.
4. Federal Incentives: Commercial fleet operators in Pennsylvania can benefit from federal tax credits up to $7,500 for new electric vehicle purchases and up to $30,000 for new electric vehicle charging equipment.
5. Low or No Emission Vehicle Program: Managed by the Federal Transit Administration, this program provides funding for the purchase or lease of zero-emission and low-emission transit buses, which could be beneficial for fleets looking to include clean buses.
