Federal EV/PHEV Tax Credit Information: The federal tax credit offers up to $7,500 for the purchase of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, based on battery capacity. Starting in 2023, the scope of eligible vehicles has expanded, including requirements related to critical minerals and battery components for full credit eligibility.
Green Pass Discount Plan: This plan offers a 10% discount for hybrid vehicles that achieve at least 45 miles per gallon and meet specific emissions standards. Proof of vehicle registration is necessary to receive the discount off the E-Z Pass rate.
CHarge Ready NY 2.0 Program Details: This initiative provides funding for the installation of Level 2 EV charging stations. It offers incentives up to $4,000 per port for installations at public facilities within Disadvantaged Communities (DACs), with additional incentives for workplace or multi-unit dwelling locations.
Con Edison Electric Vehicle PowerReady Program: Con Edison's PowerReady Program assists with the costs of electric infrastructure needed for installing EV chargers, offering incentives to reduce the costs of preparing sites for EV chargers and connecting to the electric grid.
Advanced Clean Truck (ACT) Rule Information: Starting in 2025, New York will require an increasing percentage of zero-emission trucks and buses sold each year through 2035, part of efforts to improve air quality and reduce emissions from diesel-powered vehicles.
