Here's a list of the current incentives and programs available for zero emission or low emission vehicles:

  1. Washington State Department of Commerce Electric Vehicles and Charging Equipment Grants: Offers grants focused on the manufacturing of eligible vehicles and components, building or modernizing facilities in the U.S., with a rolling application deadline. Total available funding is $10 billion.
  2. Washington State Department of Ecology Air Quality Clean Diesel Grant Program: Available for the replacement of diesel transit buses with fuel cell-powered buses and diesel yard trucks with new electric yard trucks. $2.24 million in funding available until February 27, 2024.
  3. U.S. Department of Transportation RAISE Grants: Supports surface transportation infrastructure projects that enhance safety, environmental sustainability, and economic competitiveness. $1.5 billion total funding, applications due by February 28, 2024.
  4. Washington State Department of Commerce Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant: Targets smaller communities for developing energy efficiency plans, including zero-emission transportation projects. $2 million in funding, with applications due until April 1, 2024.
  5. Washington Clean Cities Coalition: Provides guidance and information on grants and other opportunities to help fleet operators transition to cleaner transportation options. They can assist in navigating and applying for various available programs.
