Programs for battery electric, fuel cell, and plug-in hybrid vehicles are included to reduce GHG and smog-forming pollutants, promoting long-term air quality benefits.
2. New York Governor's Office - Kathy Hochul: New York aims for zero emissions from all new passenger cars and trucks by 2035. Initiatives like the Drive Clean Rebate, EVolve NY, and NYTVIP support this goal by enhancing access to electric vehicles and necessary infrastructure.
3. NYSERDA - Drive Clean Rebate: This program offers up to $2,000 off the price of electric vehicles at participating dealerships, combinable with federal rebates for a total of up to $9,500 in savings, accelerating the deployment of clean vehicles across New York.
4. NYPA - EVolve NY: The EVolve NY program supports the expansion of fast charging networks across key travel corridors in New York, significantly easing the use of electric vehicles by reducing charging times and facilitating long-distance electric travel.
5. Federal Transit Administration - Low or No Emission Grant Program: Provides funding for the purchase or lease of zero or low-emission transit buses and supporting facilities, with allocations based on competitive proposals submitted in response to Notices of Funding Opportunities.
