Here is a list of current incentives and programs in 2024 for commercial fleet operators in South Carolina interested in zero-emission or low-emission vehicles, sourced from the South Carolina Clean Cities Coalition and related entities:

  1. Zero-Emission Technology Deployment Competition: This grant, part of the EPA Clean Ports Program, aims to fund zero-emission port equipment and infrastructure.
  2. Communities Sparking Investment in Transformative Energy: Managed by the DOE, this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) supports local projects that create community benefits and foster investments in areas like electric transportation.
  3. FY2024 Vehicle Technologies Office Research & Development: This FOA by the DOE seeks projects that enhance energy storage solutions like phosphate-based battery cells, and innovations in electric vehicle technologies.
  4. Clean School Bus Program: The EPA provides significant funding to replace existing school buses with zero-emission and low-emission models, supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

These programs provide substantial support for initiatives that contribute to reducing emissions and promoting clean transportation solutions.
