World Energy, established in 1998, is a biofuels pioneer in clean-fuel infrastructure across US & Canada (SAF, renewable diesel, hydrogen), reducing emissions in aviation, shipping, trucking.
Renewable Diesel (RD): A drop-in hydro-processed esters and fatty acids biodiesel for trucking and marine fleets. Contains no aromatics or odor, reduces injector/DPF wear, and efficiently integrates with existing engine, storage, and distribution infrastructure.
Renewable Naphtha: A clean bio-based solvent and chemical feedstock produced alongside RD, used for small engine applications and industrial processes. Reduces reliance on fossil-based naphtha.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF): A drop-in biodiesel blend safe for aircraft use. Produced from agricultural waste, traceable carbon accounting enables in-sector emissions reductions.
Green Hydrogen for HEFA Process: Hydrogen derived from renewable off-gases is used in HEFA conversion for both RD and SAF, enabling cleaner fuel production and supporting hydrogen-fuel cell truck operations.
Advanced Biodiesel Feedstock Sourcing: Uses waste fats, oils, and agricultural residues (non-food) to produce biodiesel, avoiding food-crop competition and aligning with sustainable supply chains.
HEFA Production at Paramount Facility: The Paramount, CA refinery has been converted to produce renewable diesel, renewable gasoline, and SAF via HEFA, cutting carbon emissions by over 75%.
Houston Biodiesel-to-SAF Conversion: The Houston facility, formerly producing biodiesel, is being retrofitted to output expanding biofuel capacity.
Clean Hydrogen Hub & Fuel-Cell Support: The LA Clean Fuel Hub supplies clean hydrogen to produce low-carbon RD/SAF and fuel approximately 2,000 hydrogen fuel-cell trucks daily.
