1. Biodiesel: Seaboard Energy's biodiesel is created by reacting fats or oils with alcohol, resulting in a fuel with reduced carbon intensity and zero aromatics, suitable for various diesel engines.
2. Renewable Diesel: Produced through high heat and pressure from renewable fats and oils, Seaboard Energy's renewable diesel is chemically similar to conventional diesel but offers a lower carbon intensity and ultra-low sulfur emissions.
3. Renewable Naphtha & Glycerin: A by-product of renewable diesel production, renewable naphtha serves as a cleaner-burning alternative for gasoline blending and petrochemical applications. Seaboard Energy's glycerin is utilized in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food processing.
4. Solar Power: Seaboard Energy operates multiple solar arrays, generating approximately 20MW of renewable energy to power its facilities and contribute to the electrical grid.
5. Guymon, Oklahoma Biodiesel Plant: This facility produces biodiesel using pork fat from Seaboard Foods' processing plant, with an annual capacity of approximately 46 million gallons.
6. Hugoton, Kansas Renewable Diesel Facility: Operational since 2022, this plant produces 85 million gallons of renewable diesel annually, utilizing sustainable animal fats and vegetable oils.
7. Madera, California Terminal: Serving as a distribution hub, this terminal handles up to 300 million gallons of biodiesel and renewable diesel annually and includes a 5MW solar array.
8. St. Joseph, Missouri Biodiesel Plant: This facility produces approximately 32 million gallons of biodiesel annually, using distillers corn oil and other regional feedstocks.
9. Environmental Credits Program: Seaboard Energy generates and sells environmental credits derived from its biodiesel and renewable diesel production, supporting carbon reduction initiatives.
