Virent Inc. continues to advance its bio-based fuels, with its plant-based BioForming® process producing drop-in renewable gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. 

1. BioForming® process: converts aqueous carbohydrate solutions into mixtures of “drop-in” hydrocarbons. The process has been demonstrated with conventional sugars obtained from existing sugar sources (corn wet mills, sugarcane mills, etc.) as well as a wide variety of cellulosic biomass sources.
2. Renewable Gasoline: A renewable, drop-in replacement for traditional gasoline derived from non-food biomass. It allows fleets to reduce carbon emissions without modifying existing gasoline engines, making it a practical solution for sustainable transportation.
3. Renewable Jet Fuel: A sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) made using Virent’s BioForming® process. It offers lifecycle emissions reductions compared to petroleum-based jet fuel while maintaining the necessary energy density and performance characteristics for commercial and cargo aviation fleets.
4. BioForm PX® Paraxylene: A renewable chemical used to produce sustainable polyester and PET plastics. It enables fleet operators to source eco-friendly vehicle interiors, uniforms, and other polyester-based materials with reduced fossil fuel dependency.
5. Virent BioForming® Process Licensing: Companies can license Virent’s BioForming® technology to produce renewable fuels and chemicals. This service enables large-scale production of sustainable alternatives to fossil-based fuels, helping fleet operators and fuel suppliers transition to lower-carbon energy sources.
6. BioForm MX™ Mixed Xylenes: A plant-based alternative to petroleum-derived benzene used in plastic production. This product supports fleet operators looking for sustainable packaging and vehicle materials with a lower carbon footprint.
